Dunbar Harbour is a busy place. We have a thriving fishing industry with a growing number of fishing boats, and moorings for leisure boats are also in great demand.
There are always challenges in allocating moorings. The harbours dry out at low tides. The access to Victoria Harbour and to the open sea from Broadhaven and Cromwell harbours is under the harbour bridge. Boats need to be moored in such a way that they do not present a danger to each other. These and other matters are considered by the Trust’s Mooring Committee. If a mooring application is successful, the mooring fee covers the year April to March. The fee applies for whatever length of time the boat is in the water.
