Mooring application fees and conditions
HARBOUR CHARGES 2023 Year commencing 01 April 2024
All vessels in Dunbar Harbour are charged on the same basis, whether for a full or a part year, using a Basic Charge Rate multiplied by the vessel length.
There is a minimum charge based on a 6m length.
The Basic Charge Rate for 2024 will be £53 per metre.
MOORING CHARGES 2024
Vessels up to and including 6.0m length £318
Vessels exceeding 6.0m length £318+ £53/m for length > 6.0m
Fishing Vessels pay additional landing dues amounting to 2.0% of the catch value.
(Prior arrangements for payments to the Trust must be made by owner and merchant)
A Commercial Passenger (Local) vessel with an annual mooring in Dunbar Harbour requires an annual Permit to Operate costing £40
In addition, there is a Charge per Trip of £15 for the first 25 trips and £9.00 for any additional trips.
A Commercial Passenger Vessel (Visitor)
Mooring & Permit to Operate is £52 per day plus a Charge per Trip of £15
Visiting Vessels
up to and including 10m pay £20 per night mooring fee. Over 10m, the mooring fee is £25 per night.
Hardstanding (October to April) costs £13/m (in addition to the annual mooring fee)
(Vessels on the hardstanding maintenance area at Cromwell Harbour are allowed four weeks free of charges for essential repairs, but only after receiving prior agreement from the Harbour Master. Monthly rate thereafter is £5/m in addition to the annual mooring fee).
Day Launching costs £20 per day
Seasonal Launching (April-Nov inclusive) costs £130
Commercial Water Sports Club launching – £309
Rowing Club Skiffs £134 each for the use of the hardstanding, plus a seasonal launching fee of £130. The launching fee may be waived for
community organisations.
Sea Cadets – no charge.
Commercial crew transfers – £60 per transfer
Campervans £10 per night. ( Payment may be made either to the Harbour Master or by BACS transfer to Dunbar Harbour Trust account 06002366, sort code 80-13-28)
