The Dutch street symphony orchestra Ricciotti Ensemble entertained an audience in the new outdoor amphitheatre in Dunbar Battery
The venue was full and the performance was a huge success.The most energetic orchestra in the world have been on their Scotch Fling Tour between July 28th and August 4th and have played more than 30 performances in 8 days. The Ricciotti aims to play symphonic music in places it isn't normally played. Common Ricciotti venues are hospitals,parks, museums,and even on the streets.Founded in 1970, the Ricciotti Ensemble has audience participation and broad programming in its DNA and its performances are a true celebration of music and life in itself. With the average musician’s age at 22 years old, the organisation aims to provide high-quality community performance experiences for its emerging artists at the outset of their professional careers.
