Approval of Previous Minutes : The Minute of the previous meeting was approved.

  • Detritus in harbour will be cleared by Gus Wight.
  • DHMC may have up to 12 members. Trevor Springford and Michael Maple will join.

Health & Safety Items:

  • New H&S Committee established with the new Directors joining the Committee.
  • Marine Risk assessments will be published next month
  • ELC has yet to come up with a plan for the Cromwell Harbour electricity box

Finance Director’s Report: tabled and reviewed

  • Audited accounts for year ended 31 Mar 2014 expected by end June
  • All 2014/15 mooring charges have been invoiced and paid
  • There has been a large increase in the number of harbour users

Director Appointments:Kenny Maule and Christie Smith were welcomed to the Board. Both are harbour users themselves.

DHMC Chairman’s Items:

  • Storage of boxes on the quayside – Kevin Keillor’s proposal was tabled.
  • DFA had complained that it had not been consulted on grant applications. Consultation had taken place and been minuted on all projects through the DHMC
  • Additional storage will be considered as part of the harbour improvement plan.
  • The future of the harbour van will be considered at the end of its useful life.

MSMC Chairman’s Items:

  • Fire drills.
  • Leak in heating pipe in Store 9
  • Kenny Maule will assume the chairmanship of this Committee

Projects Update:

Wall repairs

  • Major voids were found acrossthe bridge.
  • Marine growth has been removed. Surveys to be completed for all walls.
  • Repair plan to be presented to Harbour Wall Committee in mid May

Davits project4 x 500 kg davits are now being supplied at no additional cost

Lamer Island Community Council has been very supportive. ELC will be asked to contribute as well. Consultation begins on 21st April at the Battery.

Harbour Users:

Harbour Users Meeting: Tuesday 13th May at 6 p.m. in the Methodist Church

Meeting with DFA -  This had taken place with Norman Hampshire.

Web site: Thelma will lead an improvement programme

AOCB:

  • Christie Smith will be the Trust’s co-ordinator of the harbour improvement plan
  • Bringing a portaloo on site for the season was approved in principle
  • Eddie Ingle – interdict is being reviewed for follow-up action
